I have lived and worked in the Calgary core for almost 7 years, I have seen much during this time. We have a large population of homeless folks, our weather is conducive to easier winter living for them. More mayor's of more cities then I can count have said they want to "rid" their city of the homeless, ours included.
The 2 gentlemen in the photo have been around for some time, I have seem them on many ocassions. They were in the park enjoying the first day of spring. They never spoke in the time I watched them, but their faces said it all. I want to hear their story, but cannot bring myself to ask. Someday I will have the courage to ask and to hear it.

I've seen these guys too. Never have they even asked for a dime. Too bad our multi tiered society treats these people as a nuisance. I wish our mayor used twitter.. I'd like to send this to him. I wonder if he checks this email account personally. themayor@calgary.ca
